THE BASICS...
Anyone can learn Reiki.
It is incredibly simple to learn and practice.

People of all cultures and religious beliefs can learn Reiki (although it is spiritual, it is not a religion nor does it conflict with any religious beliefs).

Once you have received in-person Reiju (attunement) from your Reiki Teacher, you have Reiki in your hands for the rest of your life.

"Fiona couldn’t be more perfect to learn from...Fiona is so open, understanding, welcoming and creates a really honest and human environment for everyone to show up exactly as they are.
The theory is interesting but the passion Fiona holds for Reiki is felt through her stories. It feels as though she has already lived many different lives and that only amplifies her empathy and allows you to connect with the energy in your own way. You can really feel how connected she is with this world.

The mystic art to invite happiness
Miraculous medicine to heal all diseases.
MIKAO USUI (Founder of Reiki)
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF REIKI AS A PRACTICE?
The practice of Reiki is both a healing as well as a spiritual path. The potential for those who practice Reiki was revealed by founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui who called it 'the mystic art to invite happiness, miraculous medicine to heal all diseases.'
To heal means to make whole (physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually).
To invite happiness means to live with a sense of inner peace and calm, no matter what the external circumstances.

These are the objectives and potential of Reiki Practice.
"The training group was small which felt very comfortable, relaxed and a safe learning space. Fiona's teaching style is professional while being relaxed, fun, very generous with a depth of real life experience and examples to bring the benefits of Japanese style Reiki Therapy to life.
Her SHODEN training feels like a more authentic, more complete Japanese style Usui Reiki training...with a focus on consciously attending the needs of the mind / heart in addition to the body.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Reiki Therapy treatments and reiki training with Fiona and look forward to continuing with both myself."

WHY LEARN REIKI?
Some of the innumerable benefits of learning Reiki include:

Self-healing: Reiki enables you to access and channel healing energy to promote self-healing on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, any time and anywhere.
Stress reduction: Reiki self-treatments can induce deep relaxation, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and tension, supporting the body's natural healing processes. Reiki is particularly supportive during times of emotional distress and trauma.
Improved well-being: Regular Reiki practice can enhance overall well-being, leading to increased energy levels, better sleep, and a sense of greater calm, inner peace and balance.
Emotional healing: Reiki can help release emotional stagnation and help move difficult emotions (past and present), fostering emotional healing and encouraging a more positive outlook on life.
Increased compassion and empathy: Reiki practice fosters feelings of compassion and empathy towards oneself and others, encouraging improved relationship and a more positive and harmonious approach to life.
Spiritual growth: Reiki is a spiritual practice that encourages individuals to connect with their higher selves and explore their spiritual path, leading to deeper spiritual insights and growth.
Enhanced intuition and self-awareness: Practicing Reiki can help individuals develop their intuitive abilities and self-awareness, leading to greater clarity and personal growth.
Enhanced relationship of self-love: Reiki self-treatments involve placing your hands on your body in meditation which, in itself, is an act of self love. Combined with the loving, compassionate and healing energy of Reiki, Reiki practice can improve your connection to your inner being, improve your relationship with yourself and foster greater self-love.

Personal empowerment: Learning Reiki empowers individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-reliance.
Pain management: Reiki can be effective in alleviating pain and discomfort.

Supporting other healing practices: Reiki can complement conventional medical treatments, supporting the body's healing process and promoting faster recovery from illnesses and injuries.
Boosted immunity: Regular Reiki practice is understood to strengthen the immune system, helping the body defend against illness and maintain optimal health.
Improved sleep quality: Reiki's relaxing effects can improve sleep quality, leading to more restorative rest and enhanced overall health.
Additional First Aid Tool: After taking the necessary emergency steps required, Reiki is incredibly effective for healing burns, cuts, bruises and stopping bleeds .
Professional development/career options: Reiki is a wonderful modality to offer clients on its own or as an addition to other modalities, particularly for those who work as a masseuse, nurse, doctor, chiropractor, physiotherapist, osteopath, palliative carer, End of Life Doula/Death Doula and other Caring/Carer Professions where there is physical touch.

"Both my wife and I had studied entry level Reiki previously, and found the quality, sincerity, insight and intuition of Fiona to be unmatched. Fiona’s connection with and understanding of Reiki principles, combined with a calm, intelligent and empathic communication style made the learning process richer and deeper for both of us.
Reiki can be a serious undertaking, Fiona makes it fun without compromising anyone’s personal integrity or the authenticity of the training itself.
Fiona is a person you never forget. Thankyou for the inspiration Fiona – much gratitude.

KOMYO REIKI DO
All Reiki courses offered are the Usui System of Natural Healing (Reiki) based on Komyo ReikiDo, a Japanese system of Reiki founded by renowned International Teacher and Buddhist Monk, Hyakuten Inamoto in Tokyo. Komyo ReikiDo is based on the original known teachings and practices of Reiki Founder, Mikao Usui and his last Shihan (Teacher)/student, Chujiro Hayashi.

In each Level of Reiki, several Reiju (Initations/Attunements) are given. It is a profound energetic initiation and is a fundamental aspect of the Usui Reiki system, bestowing Reiki students with the ability to access and practice Reiki for themselves (and for others) by opening the student's energetic channels.
The teachings are not just about hands-on healing. It also includes simple meditations and mind-practices that transform how we see and interact with the world and others. The combination of these practices, along with hands-on self-healing, is incredibly powerful.

Through the Practices, we learn how to be the eye of the storm....calm, still and peaceful despite the chaos that may be around us. We learn how to experiences the difficult challenges that we experience in life, with less suffering. Stress and worry are replaced with trust, gratitude and surrender, anger is reduced and compassion and kindness is increased.

The Usui System of Natural healing, based on Komyo ReikiDo (Japanese Reiki), as a spiritual practice also provides a pathway to greater connection to our Inner Being, Our Higher Self and the Greater Whole. These practices, together with the self-healing Reiki practice, offer to take us to a place of calmness and stillness, and it is there that Reiki and our True Nature reveals itself to us. It is a pathway to Illumination. As students move further into the Levels taught, they are taken deeper into this spiritual pathway.
The system of practices iare easy to learn and incorporate into your day. All that is required is an open mind and a willingness to practice consistently.
WHAT IS TAUGHT...

JAPANESE REIKI &
WESTERN REIKI EXPLAINED
Offering for students/Practitioner/Masters of Traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho to enhance your practice...
Reclaiming the original teachings.
Traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho is often regarded as preserving the original teachings of Reiki's Founder, Mikao Usui. However all existing Reiki systems around the world (excluding the closed Usui Gakkai in Japan), are traced back to Chujiro Hayashi, Usui's last Shihan (Teacher)/student, who we know introduced some modifications to Usui's system. Accordingly, every existing system (save the Gakkai), practices a Hayashi-style of Reiki.
Komyo ReikiDo, Jikiden Reiki and Traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho therefore share a common lineage tracing back to Chujiro Hayashi.

Hayashi's teachings encompassed Spiritual Practices, including meditations, mindfulness techniques, and daily spiritual ideals, along with the hands-on Healing Practice. These two aspects complemented each other synergistically. It is believed these were consistent with Usui Sensei's teachings as well.

WESTERN REIKI
Takata Sensei, a Japanese foreigner and Master student of Hayashi, brought Reiki to the West, naming the system 'Traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho' (meaning 'Usui Method of Reiki') despite Hayashi's modifications. Initially, she taught both the Spiritual and Healing aspects taught by Hayashi Sensei, but due to World War II and hostilities between Japan and the West, she removed some of the spiritual practices, and Westernised the story of Mikao Usui to avoid dangers that existed for her and others at the time and to make Reiki more likely to be accepted in the West. Over time, other foundational spiritual practices gradually diminished in her Master students' lineage, emphasizing hands-on healing without the accompanying spiritual practices. As her modified system of Reiki was introduced to the West by her, it is commonly referred to as Western Reiki.

JAPANESE REIKI
Komyo Reiki Do, on the other hand, is a Japanese Reiki system founded by Inomoto Sensei, a Pureland Buddhist monk. Yamagushi Chiyoko (a Japanese native), like Takata Sensei, was a student of Hayashi and was Inamoto Sensei's Teacher. Jikiden Reiki, alternatively, was founded by Yamagushi Choyoko and her son Tadao, also in Japan. Jikiden Reiki (which means 'direct teaching') aimed to teach the practices, unchanged, as taught by Hayashi, encompassing all the known Usui practices and teachings of Hayashi, thus restoring what Traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho had lost over time. Inomoto Sensei's aim in Komyo ReikiDo, was to create a system based on Yamaguchi's teachings, with a focus on the spiritual aspect of practice, as well as the healing practices.

Before practicing Jikiden Reiki and Komyo ReikiDo, and before discovering the forgotten Spiritual Practices that formed an essential part of both the Usui and Hayashi systems of Reiki, I practiced Usui Reiki Shiki Ryoho for the first 3 years of my Reiki journey. It is now my goal to reintroduce those original Spiritual Practices taught by Hayashi and Takata Sensei to those practicing Usui Reiki Ryoho (or 'Western Reiki'), which are covered in my Level I Shoden class, without requiring you to change your Reiki systems.

Incorporating these spiritual practices into your practice or classes can enhance your hands-on healing and benefit you, your students, and your clients. I look forward to having you in class.
"Thank you Fiona for your amazing teaching & inspiration”

Message from Fiona...
From the very beginning of my Reiki journey many years ago, well before I even contemplated Teaching Reiki myself, I have passionately encouraged my clients to embrace the art of self-healing through learning Reiki. The reason behind this heartfelt encouragement is simple: Reiki is accessible to anyone, easy to learn and easy to practice regularly. I have personally experienced the profound transformation that daily Reiki practice can bring, and I wish to share this gift with others.
Reiki has brought me immense inner joy, peace, and tranquility. It has deepened my spiritual connection to myself and the universe, enriched my intuition, and fostered a profound level of healing that I never thought possible. Through my consistent practice, I often feel like an unshakeable mountain, unwavering amidst life's challenges, while still maintaining a deep and loving connection to all things.
I have witnessed remarkable improvements in my clients after just one or two Reiki sessions. Imagine the deeper shifts and changes they could unlock through daily self-practice, without solely relying on a practitioner. That's what drives me to teach Reiki to others.

The transformative power of Reiki empowers students with endless possibilities—to heal, to grow, and to invite happiness into their lives. And by learning Reiki, students not only enhance their own well-being but it affords them the opportunity to offer a unique form of loving support to their parents, partners, siblings, children, and friends.
Considering the investment to learn Reiki is less than the price of three Reiki sessions and when taking into account that students then have the transformative power of Reiki in their hands for the rest of their lives, the question, in my mind, is not why should people learn Reiki, but why not?

My dream for the future is to see Reiki taught in schools, offering children the incredible gift of self-healing, which will serve and support them throughout their lives. I believe that if we all practiced Reiki, the world would become a better, gentler, kinder, and calmer place.

I wholeheartedly encourage you to embrace the wonderful gift of self-love and embark on a transformative journey towards greater healing, calm, peace and happiness with Reiki. In class I provide an individualised, compassionate and supportive approach to learning and your healing journey and spiritual journey. It would be an honour to be a part of your path, and I eagerly look forward to welcoming you to my classes.

Warmest,
Fiona x
